Thyme imparts a piqant lemony flavour to soups, sauces, marinades, casseroles, chicken, meat and salads. It is tasty sprinkled on breads or pizzas or mixed into butter or cottage cheese.


THYME HINTS

Try adding thyme leaves stripped from the stems when sauteeing mushrooms.
Chop thyme and add to flour for coating chicken prior to roasting.
Saute thyme leaves in butter and pour over cooked Brussels sprouts, egg noodles or green beans.
Add thyme leaves to fish or chicken soups.
Add finely chopped thyme and garlic chives to mashed potatoes.
